A global leader in the development of decarbonization solutions; expanding to build their renewable fuels production facility in Johor of Malaysia.

Main Responsibilities:

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

• Ensure resource availability and allocation

• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress

• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs

• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques

• Report and escalate to management as needed

• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders

• Perform risk management to minimize project risks

• Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions

• Improve overall processes including minimizing down-time, problem-solving and project management.

• Drive and achieve quality of work in all aspects of maintenance and project activities and functions.

• Lead and train Engineers & Technicians towards better performance, in both technical competency and capability.

• To ensure that all equipment and machine are properly designed, selected, installed and commissioned

• To establish and monitor programs for critical equipment analysis and condition monitoring techniques

• To review and keep record of deficiencies noted during corrective maintenance.

• To maintain and advise on the use and disposition of stock items, surplus items and equipment rental

Requirements:

• Chartered professional engineering of a recognized institution (E.g: BEM Malaysia, Project management Institute or equivalent)

• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in biofuel, petrochemical, oil & gas or similar process industry and minimum of 10 years of construction management experience as a construction manager

• Proven previous experience in similar project delivery during EPC phase

• Knowledge of EPC industry, constructability knowledge and contract management on nominated sub-contractors (NSC)

• Knowledge of department budget process and tools, project controls, risk assessment/ management

• Familiar with International Standard including China (GB) standard

• Administrative policies and procedures & construction project management systems

• Must be fluent in English; proficiency in spoken & written Mandarin will be an added advantage as frequent communications and correspondence with colleagues in the Greater China region will be required.
