Our Client:

A leading FMCG company with business interests globally.  Due to business expansion needs, they now have new position as M&E Manager – Based in Africa.

Job Responsibilities:

• Leads a team of M&E Engineers in design of M&E systems and day-to-day preventive maintenance of the systems.

• Analysis and design of cost effective M&E systems and taking lead for preparation of design documents

• Plan and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods to ensure minimum downtime

• Liaise with suppliers, consultants and other M&E service providers

• Facilitate the work of external contractors to ensure safety requirements, and operating and quality standards are adhered to.

• Work closely with equipment specialists, such as programmable logic controllers which control machineries on factory assembly lines

• Ensure Workplace Safety and Health policies, procedures and regulations are followed.

• Perform complex fault analysis and testing of mechanical and electrical systems.

• Perform on-the-job coaching for team members.

• Develop and monitor budget for the allocation of work and deployment of manpower.

• Propose workflow improvements to enhance the reliability of mechanical and electrical systems.

• Track quantities of and support the requisition of maintenance supplies and expendables required

Required:

• At least a Good university degree in mechanical or electrical engineering discplines

• More than 12 years of work experience in M&E, with at least 3 years in a team lead position.

• Candidates with prior relevant working experience in  Africa will have a strong advantage

• Good communication skills and good interpersonal relationships

• Effective communication skills in English

• Candidates who can communicate in Mandarin will have a strong advantage
