Our client:
●A leading company with design and manufacturing capabilities to deliver photonic optical light source products and solutions to the communications, medical, and security industries.
●Due to business expansion, they have a new opening for Sales Director (Photonic Sensing & Datacoms) – Based in Shanghai/ Shenzhen.
Main Responsibilities:
●Identify, develop and grow key strategic customers in the Photonic Sensing & Datacomm sectors in Greater China
●Drive the demand creation activities for Greater China region, develop and execute sales strategy to meet and overachieve revenue goals
●Identify, develop and maintain relationships with key clients by understanding their needs and working with internal teams to develop new products or customize existing products to meet clients needs.
●Manage communications & interface between the customer & internal teams.
●Lead the internal teams to deliver to customer requirements and ensure that prompt delivery to the customer.
●Interface with customer on quality issues and work with the internal teams to ensure the problem is resolved in a timely manner
●Represents the company at trade association meetings, trade shows and expos
●Develop and execute the channel partner strategy, manage demand creation activities at channel partners and implementing programs that prevent conflict in accounts
●Identify key trends in Greater China, potential new growth markets and new business opportunities & work with the design team to customize products or generate new ones to lock in the design & win for long-term business.
Required:
●At least a good Bachelor’s degree, preferably in photonics or telecoms
●Possesses keen business acumen, and strong negotiation skills
●Possesses a good understanding of product trends in various photonics applications in China, particularly in 5G Telecom and hyperscale Data Centres markets.
●Keen understanding of the Photonic Sensing & Datacomm sectors in China
●Self-starter with entrepreneurial and can-do attitude
●Strong ability to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin
