Role:
Develop holistic business strategies, business needs and market trends in line with the respective country’s strategic planning and directions in the Asia Pacific region.
Partner with CEO, District GM, Functional Heads and others to grow existing business and creating new business win
Plan to consolidate and build up Key Account Management Team to grow existing customers’ share of wallet
Main Responsibilities:
Work with the Executive Board to determine values and mission, and plans for short and long-term goals.
Develop and maintain appropriate tools and processes aimed at capturing, tracking and reporting relevant operational and financial metrics for critical decision making;
Keep abreast of the markets and industry trends by mapping various facets of the sector to ensure the company remains ahead through innovative business solutions and services as well as to initiate and manage projects regarding organisational development and change management.
Translate the business strategies into company’s fiscal activity including budgeting, reporting and auditing and manage realization, in order to ensure an integral approach to the organisation management and contribute to the efficiency, profitability and growth of the organisation.
Develop and implement operational policies and strategic plan and translate the local strategic plans into business objectives per department, together with the department managers.
Oversee day-to-day operation and manage relationships with all applicable stakeholders including vendors, contractors, customers, employees, etc.
Ensure operational products and activities comply with the respective country’s legal and regulatory as well as company standards and policies in order to deliver excellent customer service and maintain and expand customer portfolio.
Ensure implementation of company initiatives, new products and services within respective countries worldwide and monitor realization.
Ensure world class standards of service and operational infrastructures and assets are established in the respective countries in the Asia Pacific region.
Create and maintain a profitable and customer-focused B2B level organisation with a strong management team fully capable of providing good leadership to the organisation; by designing and executing suitable strategy, while aligning team players to perform within set targets
Work with Corporate Business Development to ensure alignment to corporate strategies in terms of focus on verticals, branding and marketing materials compliance, media strategies etc.
Initiate and develop business opportunities within new or existing markets in the Asia Pacific region.
Gather, consolidate, analyse and report management information on national level related to company performance, to ensure alignment as well as to ensure realization of the overall strategic plan and annual budget.
Create a positive work culture and build trust relationships and partnerships with key partners and stakeholders with an aim of creating valuable linkages and efficiencies for service providers and customers.
Train, nurture a motivated team aligned with the company vision and mission and create a performance focused environment where all employees in the organisation, as a whole can excel.
Requirements:
Candidates must possess at least Degree or equivalent.
Candidates must possess minimum 10 years of experiences in management role; preferably in freight.
Extended knowledge of customs, knowledge of air+sea freight industry and processes, multi modal knowledge and operational skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
Financial awareness of the local and global economy and good financial management skills.
Pro-active, meticulous, efficient use of time and a team player.
Ability to lead, guide, support and develop the team members as a strong leader.
