Summary:

Our client is a leader in new energy. Due to their new project development Malaysia Johor, they have a new opening for a Procurement Manager based in Johor.

Role:

• To prepare for the company procurement manual according to headquarter guideline

• Source, negotiate the best deals with suppliers, delivery timelines, ensure products meet quality and specification for greenfield project

• Responsible for the tendering, commercial negotiation & contract preparation

• Overall ensure on time deliveries (local and overseas) of orders

• Co-ordinate with Project / Material Planning / Construction team to understand and fulfill their needs for smooth progress

• Manage customs maters, include import and export documentation (AWB, BL, GST permits, etc.) and shipping documents

• Liaison with in house/ external legal counsel on all purchasing and procurement related legal documentation (construction agreement, sales agreement and etc)

• Provide expertise and guidance on logistics and customs aspects

• Project support on cashflow forecast and procurement.

• To assist conduct post project analysis (Budget vs cost, timeline)

• Manage Inventory

Required:

• Degree in Supply Chain/Business Management or equivalent with relevant end to end procurement experience and team management experience

• Proven track record in Procurement, Project Controls, Supply chain management, Custom matter

• Experience in project coordination and holistic support functions

• Knowledge of the petro-chemical or palm oil refinery industry operations is preferred

• Good understanding & exposure of greenfield project or decarbonization technology is an added advantage

• Minimum 5-years’ working experience in EPC, Engineering or Construction.

• Excellent team player, self-driven and results oriented

• Strong analytical skills and resourceful

• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines

• Excellent command in English; both verbal and written Ability to multi-task under pressure
