The Role:
Reporting to the CEO, the incumbent is responsible to oversee the company’s operational processes, and to ensure a superb customer experience. The Director of Operations will optimise the company’s operating capabilities, employ strategies to maximize customer satisfaction, and manage marketing initiatives.
The Director of Operations will assist in compiling the company’s budget and employ strategies to enforce and ensure budget discipline. The incumbent will take the lead to implement Operations Management Systems (OMS) and RPA to promote data driven decision making and optimise operating efficiencies. The incumbent will team up with management to implement business strategies.
To ensure success the incumbent should have analytical mind and employs a logical decision-making process. Top candidates will be exemplary leaders, have superb business acumen, and have a sound understanding of business strategies.
Main Responsibilities:
Working together with key stakeholders to compile the budget.
Partner with CEO to spearhead strategies and implement operating model to steer the company’s future in a positive direction.
Optimise the company’s operating capabilities to drive financial management excellence from a top and bottom-line perspective
Responsible for Customer Transactional and Interaction Channels to achieve optimum customer experience and financial returns.
Partner with finance to manage cashflow and operating cost
Partner with business teams to ensure budget discipline and achieve financial goals
Preparing timely and accurate financial performance reports.
Coach, groom and develop employees to excel and achieve career progression
Assessing and implementing improved processes and new technology systems and collaborating with management regarding the implementation of these improvements.
Requirements:
Degree in business administration or an MBA and a relevant degree (computer science, finance, analytics, engineering etc) or 10 years of related business experience with a relevant degree
At least 5 years of experience in a related senior management role managing business operations.
At least 5 years of experience in online retail/ ecommerce
At least 5 years of experience in a data driven organisation or from technology space.
Strong finance literacy or equivalent finance training
Proven track record of outstanding business operations performance in a previous complex large enterprise.
Proven track record of managing complex budgets successfully.
Demonstrated experience of ethical leadership.
Outstanding English verbal and written skills, and cross functional working experience
